Sarvan "Van" Pineda Singh Fort Washington, Maryland Highest Achiever of the High Achievers The Only Asian in the Real Estate Hall of Fame

Sarvan "VAN" Pineda Singh, born, raised and educated in Manila
- one of the five children of Katha Singh, Sr., formerly of Punjab,
India and the former Marcelina Pineda of Pampanga, Philippines.
He is a man with a definite goal. At a young age of 32, he has
achieved a net worth of $1 million -thus, becoming financially
independent as well as winning the respect and admiration of
the community and his peers in the real estate industry.
Prior to opening his own real estate office in Fort Washington/Oxon
Hill area, VAN has won all the coveted awards and honors
awarded by the real estate industry. He received the distinct honor
of being the first and the only Asian in the Hall of Fame of Prince
George's County Board of Realtors. More than 4,000 members
vie for this honor every year.
To be included in the Distinguished Sales Club of the Hall of
Fame, a realtor must be consistent for seven consecutive years in
the top 15 in overall productions among the 4,000 plus members
in the area. "It is hard work, but enjoyable," claimed Van. He holds
a Bachelor of Science in Economics degree from the Lyceum of
the Philippines.

"My average working hours is at least 12 hours a day, six days a week. I work in my home, in my car, at the
office or anywhere convenient to the customers," explained Van, president/ broker of VAN SINGH REALTORS .
Van was affiliated with REMAX 100, an international real estate conglomerate which requires their agents
to be exceptionally outstanding in the real estate sales industry, he won most of the coveted awards,
including being Number 15th in the entire membership of more than 8,000 worldwide REMAX associates.
In 1983, he was awarded by the Prince George's County the "TOP PRODUCER OF THE YEAR" award.
"At REMAX, they have this 100% Club Trophy," explained Van, showing five trophies similar to an Oscar
statue. "REMAX International awards this trophy to associates whose IRS Form 1099 has five or more
figures in earned and declared brokerage fee." He has six 100% Club Trophy awards from REMAX
International.
Before migrating to this country in 1975, he was Branch Sales Manager for United General Industries in
the Philippines. While working as an Account Executive with a leading food service company in Manryland,
Van started working on a part-time basis with a local real estate office. During his first three years as a
part-time salesman, he was consistently awarded "SALES LEADER" by his affiliates and at the same time,
the Prince George's County Board of Realtors, whose membership was just 3,000 plus at the time, rated
him in the top 15 . Before managing his own real estate business last year, he had been continuously
honored by the PGC Board of Realtors in its top 15 Award banquet annually, and finally was named in the
Real Estate Hall of Fame.
"These are indeed honors for which you should be proud. This recognition reflects the professionalism and
dedication you bring to the real estate industry," wrote PARRIS N. GLENDENING, County Executive of Prince
George's County of Maryland.
"True wealth is not what one makes. It is what we do with what we make. Real estate investment is one of
the best vehicles to multiply wealth," philosophized Van. In addition to his real estate business, he also
owns a custom house construction company .
"For more than a decade, Van has continuously achieved honors not only for himself but for the Filipinos as
well," observed one Filipino diplomat at the Embassy of the Philippines "He is indeed a unique person
deserving our recognition."
Van and his equally business-minded wife, the former Marian "Mye" Romero are the only two officers of the
family owned VAN SINGH ENTERPRISES, INC. One of their business holdings is FIL-AM NURSING
AGENCY, a temporary employment staffing agency serving Maryland, Virginia and Washington, DC's
hospitals and convalescent homes with Mye as head of the agency.
The VAN SINGH ENTERPRISE also owns several single family home rental properties and other real estate
development projects in the vicinity.
"Van Singh Realtors is a long awaited business venture that we, Filipinos in the Oxon Hill, Fort Washington
and the immediate areas, are lucky to have serving the sizable Filipino Community in the area," declared an
active community leader.
Van is currently acting chairman of the Asian-American Pacific Chamber of Commerce. He is also an active
member of the Port of America Minority Business Advisory Board. With his busy schedule on practically
seven-days a week work habit, Van does not neglect his hobbies of reading , writing and playing-around with
his children : Christopher Sean , Michael Conrad and new-born Baby Sarih Alexandria
