Beauty and Brain
High Tech Entrepreneur - A Leader Among Leaders
Unlike the commercial of C. F. Hutton, when Zeny walks in, people
not only stop talking and listen, but they also look.  For in their
midst is not only an attractive, statuette woman of beauty,  but a
lady     exuding wisdom,  intelligence and definitely a making of a
career executive.  One that commands respect and requires one's
full attention.  And indeed,  her looks is definitely not deceiving  for
Maria Zenaida   Fernandez Cunanan , who wants all  to call her
Zeny, is not only a very  attractive lady, but she is as a well
brilliant,  talented and creative person.

Graduating   as  a  salutatorian  in  high school  from St. Joseph's
Academy in Pampanga,  Zeny continued to maintain top honors
in her pursuit for education. She  graduated as  Magna Cum
Laude  from the famous University of Sto. Tomas in Manila with a
Bachelor  of  Science degree in Medical Technology. Devoting her
entire career to the improvement of science and technology,  Zeny
joined the University of Santo Tomas as a faculty member of
theUST's  Faculty of Pharmacy, Medical Technology and
Biochemistry and became a Clinical Instructor in Bacteriology and
Parasitology.

When  Zeny migrated to the U.S., she first joined St. Vincent
Medical Center in New York, NY as a medical technologist before she relocated to Bridgeport, West Virginia.
Zeny actively particpates  both in the city and state's  civic, political and cultural  organizations.

It was no wonder that when Zeny  ran for President of the APPA Auxiliary,    no one dared to challenge her.
Thus, she is now the President-Elect of the Auxiliary  of the largest Filipino-American professional
organization in the United States, the Association of Philippine Physicians in America (APPA).

Pursuing  her  dedication  to the improvement of      science and technology,  Zeny founded in 1989 Galazy
Global Corporation, a West Virginia  high  technology   corporation.   Last May,  Zeny  was  chosen   by the U.S.
Small Business Administration (SBA) as one of the "Women in Business Advocate of the Year" awardees
during   the Small Business Week, promulgated annually  by the President of the United States. The Advocacy
Award, the highest accolade that SBA can bestow to anyone in business,    was based on Zeny's  succesful
leadership and management of Galaxy Global Corporation as well as  her constant support to other
women-owned businesses,  and her constant  assistance to women who seek to obtain executive-level
positions in her    organizations and other companies.

"I  am  blessed with so many   opportunities to serve others, and humbly, I try  to serve  as  best  as I can,"
explained Zeny.   Within the vicinity  of the State of  West Virginia,  Zeny  has been consistent        in giving her
free time and expertise to   community   services.  She was recently the Honorary  Chairperson of the United
