In spite of his hectic schedule as a board certified
gastroenterologist, Dr. Rolando S. Sineneng always finds time
when it comes to highlighting Filipino positive image. His love to
his native land, the Philippines, is manifested by his
non-hesitancy to spearhead projects that benefit the poor
Filipinos in the Philippines. As a founding president of the
Association of Philippine Physicians in Greater Dayton (APPGD),
an organization that biennially raise funds to provide assistance
to hospitals and local charities in the Philippines. He is also a
charter member of the Philippine Economic and Cultural
Endowment (PEACE) and serves as its current vice president and
editor of the organization's newsletter. PEACE's signature project
is the construction of artesian wells all over the Philippines. This
organization received the highest Philippine presidential award
for Filipinos overseas, LINKAPIL (Linkod Sa Kapwa Pilipino).
Active with local, regional and national politics, Dr. Sineneng is
active with the Filipino American Political Association (FAPA). He
had served twice as FAPA's chairman for the Ohio Valley
chapters. He has written several opinions on Philippine affairs,
Filipino Americans and Asian Americans that have been
published in local an national publications.

Dr. Rolando Sineneng is board certified gastroenterologist in private practice in Dayton, Ohio and a partner of
the Gastrointestinal and Liver Diseases Consultants, Inc., an eight-member medical group. He trained at the
New Jersey College of Medicine and Dentistry and Yale University after his graduation from the University of
the Philippines in 1967.
Dr. Sineneng is a member of seven national, state and county professional organizations and a Fellow of the
American College of Gastroenterology. He is an associate professor at the Wright State University, School of
Medicine and currently on his second six-year term as Trustee of the Wright State University Academy of
Medicine, which recognizes meritorious achievements at the student, clinical and research levels within the
University. He had just finished a ten-year chairman
ship of the Section of Gastroenterology at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.
Outside of his academic and professional activities, Dr. Sineneng has been active in several capacities. He
is a long time Trustee of the Dayton Area Heart and Cancer Association, an organization that provides
monetary assistance, educational experience and medical service to heart and cancer patients within the
Greater Dayton area. Until recently, he was a Paul Harris member of the Morain Rotary Club and helped
launch a continuing cervical and breast cancer prevention program in Mexico which was later cited as one of
Rotary International's top programs.
