Dr. Aida Ramiscal Martin, right with Dr. Rebecca Ovitt, were recipients of the United Filipino
Council of Hawaii (UFCH), Progress Awards in Education, Centennial Edition for outstanding
and significant contribution in the field of Education that made an impact in improving the
quality of life in Hawaii on January 20, 2006. The UFCH, is the umbrella council of over 200
Filipino Clubs in Hawaii.

Dr. Aida Ramiscal Martin, 6 Grade homeroom teacher in 1999 with his honor students and principal, Mr.
Ronald Abe, at Fern School, Honolulu. Of these 6 students, in 2005 Farrington High School Graduation
Ceremonies, 3 became magna cum laude and the other 3 were cum laude.

Aida Ramiscal 4th at left tied First Place with Eugene Garcia Jr., at the International Farm Youth Exchange
Finalist Program Travel Grants of 4H Club National Advisory Council on May 18, 1967. She was a top
finalist of 60 nominees of 60 provinces in the Philippines.
