Imelda Collado Ortega Anderson is the daughter of the late
Francisco Ortega and and the former Teresita C. Andres.
‘Emmie’ as she is affectionately known, was the 2007 United
Filipino Council of Hawaii, (UFCH) Mrs. Hawaii Filipina Queen. The
beauty and brain Emmie is the founder of Pinoy Power, voted
#1 Filipino Radio Program heard daily on KPHI 101.5 FM 11:30
AM and Statewide Oceanic Cable Channel 882.

Born in Tondo, Manila, but grew up in Laoag City, she came to
the United States at the age of 10 and resided in the Island of
Lanai where she finished high school with high honors.She
earned her degrees in both Hotel Management and Business
Administration from Cannon's International Business College
also with the highest honors. Emmie is married 24 years to John
Leon Anderson II, retitred Vice President of the Prudential
Insurance Company. They havethree children: Jaymie Anderson-Tyau; Johnelle Rozlyne, and
John-John.

aims to Enlighten, Educate, Entertain and Empower her audience with a touch of “Emmie
Essence”. A tough survivor, she is being followed by a stream of listeners who look up to her.
She speaks candidly without reservations because she can relate to all kinds of people from all
walks of life. To Anderson “Time is of the essence,” in such a short time members of Pinoy Power
has mushroomed into a great number and programs are heard globally.

Born in Tondo, Manila, grow up in Laoag City, Philippines, came to Hawaii at the age of 10 and
resided on the Island of Lanai. She graduated with honors from Lanai Elementary and High
school. She earned her degrees in Hotel Management & Business Administration from Cannon’s
International Business College with highest honors.

Emmie is happily and contently married for 24 years to John Leon Anderson, II (a retired Vice-
President of the Prudential Insurance and Financial Services.) She is a joyful mother of three
wonderful children; Jaymie Anderson-Tyau (graduate of BYU Provo), Johnelle Rozlyne Anderson,
(International Model & aspiring Singer & Actress), and John-John Anderson, (12 yrs. Old). Emmie
has no greater joy than to see her children trend the path of truth and righteousness, as they
pursue their passions in life.

She shares her blessings through the Grateful Heart Foundation in helping missionaries
throughout the world. She also gives generously by feeding malnourished children, providing
health & medical insurance to indigent families and scholarships grants to deserving students in
her home province, Ilocos Norte. She’s very active in the Filipino Community & serves as Board
of Director of FAMES, 2005 Filipino Women’s League President and committee member of
Cagayan Valley Association of Hawaii (CVAH), United Laoaguenos of Hawaii ( ULOH),United
Filipino Council Of Hawaii (UFCH), Gumil Oahu and various organizations in Hawaii. In 2007,
established Charity Scholarships with the financial support of Charity Cargo to help street
children in Ilocos Norte Schools with the recommendation of Councilwoman Hon. Sonia Bareng
Siazon achieve higher education.

Emmie delightfully serves the Lord through her church calling as a Visiting Teacher Supervisor
and provide relief and compassionate service to members of Honolulu West Stake. In addition to
her daily Faithful and Endless Love program, she inspires her listeners with her weekly spiritual
program...’Lord My Redeemer.’

Known for her tenacity, resilience, perseverance, genuineness, caring & compassionate service.
Emmie never gives up & readily shares her blessings to those that are less fortunate. With
gratitude in her heart…she believes that … “The seeds of discouragement cannot take root in a
Grateful Heart.”
