annual sporting events which have grown to be popular among Overseas
Filipino Workers (OFW) in the Middle East.

LIBRAN NUEVAS CABACTULAN is a career diplomat. He passed the examination
for Foreign Service Officer (FSO) in 1981 and joined the Foreign Service in 1983. He
passed the examination for Career Minister in 1994. Before joining the Foreign
Service, he worked with the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA)
for 9 years, first as staff economist and later on as Chief of the Division for
International Economic Relations and Agreements.

Kerby Salazar Arreglo is the newly appointed official Middle East news
correspondent for the FILIPINO IMAGE Magazine and the PINOY GLOBAL
ONLINE NEWS, a 24/7 media both base in Washington, D.C., and serving the
Filipinos globally. He is affectionately called "Kerbs" by legion of friends in the
Middle East. In 1994, immediately after completion of his college education, he
joined his father and other members of the Arreglo family who migrated to Saudi
Arabia as early as 1984.
