Psalm 47 From the prayer desk of Rev. Deacon Gary

Today is Wednesday 2nd of December 2009.

Sirach 40, 41, 42.
40:25.26.27  Gold and silver make one's way secure, but better than either, sound judgment. Wealth and
vigor build up confidence, but better than either, fear of God.  Fear of the Lord leaves nothing wanting; he who
has it need seek no other support: The fear of God is a paradise of blessings; its canopy, all that is glorious.
Reflections: Of the many treasures, making life sweet, such as health, children, friends, music, vigor, the
best are called true conjugal love, wisdom and above all, fear of God.

41:22.23.24.  Of using harsh words with friends, and of following up your gifts with insults; Of repeating what
you hear, and of betraying secrets...These are the things you should rightly avoid as shameful, if you would
be looked upon by everyone with favor.
Reflections: Have you watch the T.V. program "Shame on You?"  This could happen to anybody but try not to
betray your friends and public. Worse is when you make up the story which is not true.

42:18.19.He plumbs the depths and penetrates the heart; their innermost being he understands. The Most
High possesses all knowledge, and sees from of old the things that are to come: He makes known the past
and the future, and reveals the deepest secrets.
Reflections: A friend of mine sent me several pictures of beautiful flowers via Internet. I responded to it as...
the beautiful manifestations of God's love.  When you offer a flower to anybody the message is always, I love
you as God loves all of us.

We are going to study "Song of Songs."  Please read them chapter by chapter and make
your own reflections.

Antiphon
O God, you are great and glorious; we marvel
at your power.

My brothers and sisters in Christ, Good Morning !
To prepare ourselves for today's journey, lets call to mind our sins and ask God's forgiveness for he is full of
gentleness and compassion.

Lord have mercy..............Lord have mercy.
Christ have mercy...............Christ have mercy.
Lord have mercy..............Lord have mercy.

May the Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive our sins, and lead us to life everlasting, Amen.

Psalm 47
God is king of all the earth.
Sing praise with all your skill.
God is king over the nations;
God reigns on his holy throne.

Psalm prayer
Do to no one what you yourself dislike. Give to the hungry some of your bread, and to the naked some of your
clothing. Seek counsel from every wise man.  At your paths straight and to grant success to all your
endeavors and plans. Amen.

Almighty Father, remember those who have died and have gone before us especially Jesus Lerma, Sr. Bring
them all to your abode with your angels and saints in heaven.  Do not look at their mistakes committed on
earth but look at the goodness of their hearts. Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord, and let the perpetual light
shine upon them, May they all rest in peace. Amen.

Lord Jesus, have compassion on all our brothers and sisters, who are suffering from known ailments.  Heal
them to wholeness in body and spirit.  Relieve their fears, pains and anxieties
through the powerful intercession of venerable Pope John Paul II, Saint Padre Pio, and Our Lady of Barangay
to whom we pray. Amen.

Holy Spirit giver of life, power and wisdom, be my guide and guard us from harm. Amen.
Theotokos, pray for us, and all who call on thee. Amen.

Reflections:
Matthew 15:29-37
Jesus heal many people with physical problem. His healing power can be yours, if you trust in him, Such
remember on two occasions he feed  multitude of people, 5000 in one occasion and 4000 in another
occasions.  Remember he will do the same today to you, if you will ask him fervently from your heart.

Say one "Our Father and Hail Mary" for our own individual intentions and the healing intentions of this
prayers.

Have a pleasant day,
Deacon Gary

Psalm 93 From the prayer desk of Rev. Deacon Gary

Today is Sunday 29th of November 2009.

"Primitive Religion or Primitive Spirituality"

Much of our knowledge about prehistoric peoples comes from their burials places. Our ancestors were
interred with tools, food, and weapons...which could only have been intended for use in the next existence.

No other species of animals exhibited such human behaviors and this distinguishes us from other  form of
life which is also the ability to use a language that describe ideas, such as time and space.  They also
explore concepts that gives logical meaning and purpose.  This has been the important characteristic
human species.

The Aboriginal societies of Australia, even that of the Philippines, (Aetas) dated more than
40,000 years.

Aborigine of Australia believe that they came from a mysterious  beings, half human and half animal, with
superior intelligence and power, that made appearances from beneath the earth or from the distant horizon,
like from the sky they called sky-being. Knowledge of this
super ordinary powers was transmitted in an oral traditions from generations to generations, bringing with
them the myths and rituals under the guidance of medicine man or shaman.

The nature of the myths  provide the reason for social and moral conduct of the village people.
To be continued.
Antiphon
To you, Lord, be highest glory and praise
forever, alleluia.
My brothers and sisters in Christ, Good Morning!
To prepare ourselves for our journey today, lets call to mind our sins, and ask God for forgiveness, for he is
full of gentleness and compassion.

Lord have mercy....................Lord have mercy.
Christ have mercy.......................Christ have mercy.
Lord have mercy....................Lord have mercy.

May the good Lord, have  mercy on us, forgive our sins and lead us to life everlasting, Amen

Psalm 93
The Lord is king, with majesty enrobed;
the Lord has robed himself with might,
he has girded himself with power.

Psalm prayer:
All power and all authority in heaven and on earth have been given to you, Lord Jesus; you rule with decrees
that are firm and trustworthy.  Be with us always so that we may make disciples whose holiness will be
worthy of your house. Amen.

Almighty Father, remember all those brothers, sisters and relatives of our who have died and have gone
before us, look not on their mistakes on earth, but look at the goodness of their hearts. Bring them all to
eternal rest and let the perpetual light shine upon them.  May they all rest in peace. Amen.

Lord Jesus, have mercy and be compassionate to all those suffering from known malady.
Bring them all to wholeness of body and spirit.  Relieve their fears, pains anxieties and even depression,
through the powerful intercession of venerable Pope John Paul II, Saint Padre Pio and Our Lady of the
Barangay for whom we pray, Amen.

Holy Spirit giver of life, power and wisdom, be our guide and guard us from harm, Amen.
Theotokos, pray for us and all who call on thee, Amen.

Reflections:
Luke 21: 25-28, 34-36
Once more Jesus talk about end time. When this signs appears in the sky, and on earth, we know he is
coming.  The best way to welcome Jesus, is do not wait for those signs in the sky or on earth, anticipate on
his coming anytime, by making our heart and our conscience clear of injustices, forgiving of the mistakes of
others, and welcome Jesus with open arms.  For he is entering and welcoming us to life everlasting.

Say one "Our Father and Hail Mary" for our own intentions and the healing intentions of this prayers.

Enjoy your day, don't spend much money.
Deacon Gary.
