Psalm 102 Healing XIV -- from the Prayer Desk of Rev. Deacon Gary

Today is Saturday 2nd of January 2010.
Psalm 102 Healing XIV For my days vanish like smoke; my bones burn like glowing embers. My heart is blighted and withered like grass; I forget to eat my food.
Reflections:This pertain to some of us, when we face sickness and despair, our days pass blindly and we don't care about even our basic needs. In these times, God alone is our comfort and strength. Even when we are too weak to fight, we can lean on him. It is often when we recognize our weakness that God's greatest strength becomes available.

Today is Friday 1st of January 2010.
Happy New Year to all.
We will be leaving for Egypt tomorrow to escape the cold weather of New York.
Psalm 102 Healing XIV
A prayer of an afflicted man. When he is faint and pours out his lament before the Lord.
Hear my prayer, O Lord; let my cry for help come to you. Do not hide your face from me when I am in distress. Turn your ear to me; when I call, answer me quickly. Reflections: Let us recognize our weaknesses that God's greatest strength becomes available. Trust him, as you call for help.
Remember, God is all-powerful; and he always acts at the right time. He is sovereign over every situation. God's power is shown by the ways he reveals himself in creation, history and his Word.
Have a nice day, Deacon Gary

Today is Thursday 31st of December 2009.
I did a healing prayer 2 nights ago at Cornell-Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan.
I came home last night very happy I did very well with my verbatim. The comments of my peers and supervisor, it was outstanding and excellent.
We also atteneded, the Deacons Christmas Party at Da Noi Restaurant. Those who attended are Deacon Joe, Deacon Larry, Deacon Michael, Deacon Mike, Deacon Steve, Myself and Deacon John.
Healing XIII The Sacrament of Healing,
"The Sacrament of the Sick" can be administered anytime when one is ill from sickness or advanced age. The Catholic Church, in fact wishes that the Sacrament be not referred to as "Extreme Unction, in an effort to restore its biblical character.
St. James says "Is there anyone sick among you. He should ask the presbyters of the Church. They in turn are to pray over him anointing him with the oil in the name of the Lord;...and the Lord will restore him to health." (James 5:14-15)
Anointing, is not just praying the "Our Father" and applying the Oil on their hands but it should be a very touching blessing of the sick, that we ask the "Greatest Healer Jesus Christ" to have mercy and compassion to the sick person.
Antiphon Stir up your mighty power, Lord: come to our aid. My brothers and sisters in Christ, Good Morning ! To prepare ourselves for the 2010 year, lets call to mind our sins and ask God for forgiveness for he is full of gentleness and compassion.
Lord have mercy............Lord have mercy. Christ have mercy...............Christ have mercy Lord have mercy............Lord have mercy.
May the Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive our sins and lead us to life, everlasting, Amen.
Psalm 80 God of hosts, turn again, we implore, look sown from heaven and see. Visit this vine and protect it, the vine your right hand has planted. Men have burnt it with fire and destroyed it. May they perish at the frown of your face.
Psalm prayer: Lord God, etenal shepherd, you so tend the vineyard you planted that now it extends its branches even to the fartest coast. Look down on your Church and come to help us. Help us remain in your Son as branches on the vine, that, planted firmly in your love, we may testify before the whole world to your great power working everywhere. Amen
Lord. our Father in heaven, have mercy on all those who died, friends and relatives, all together, that they will enjoy your presence in heaven, with happiness, joy and peace, Amen
Lord Jesus be compassionate with those friends and relatives who are presently suffering from a known illnesses. Relieve their fears, pains, and anxieties and even depression. Amen.
Holy Spirit, giver of life, power and wisdom, be our guide and guard us from harm. Amen, Theotokos, pray for us, and all those who call on thee. Amen
Reflections: Luke 2:22-35 Jesus was not born above the law; instead he fulfilled it perfectly. Mary receive the sorrowful heart on account of the prophesy of Anna, and her husband Simeon.
