Today is Saturday 16th of January 2010.
Psalm 70
This is an urgent prayer for help. It can be your prayer when you're short on time and long on need.
70:1-2 Hasten, O God, to save me; O Lord, come quickly to help me. May those who seek my life, be put to shame and confusion; May all who desire my ruin be turned back in disgrace. Reflections: When others disappoint and threaten us, we feel empty as though a vital part of ourselves has been stolen. When others break the trust we have placed in them, they also break the trust we have placed in them, they also break our spiritual spirits.
At those empty, broken moments, we must join for begging God to rush to our aid. For he alone can fill our lives with his joy.
Say one "Our Father and Hail Mary" for our own intentions and the healing intentions of this prayers.
Have a nice day, Deacon Gary

Psalm 50 -- from the Prayer Desk of Rev. Deacon Gary

Today is Tuesday 12th of January 2010.
Psalm 50 In this psalm the contrast is between true and false faith. God desires for sincere thanks, trust and praise.
50-21,22,23 These things you have done and kept silent, you thought I was altogether like you. But I will rebuke you and accuse you to your face.
Consider this, you who forget God, or I will tear you to pieces, with none to rescue;
He who sacrifices thank offerings honors me, and he prepares the way so that I may show him the salvation of God. Reflections: At times God seems silent. By his silence he is not condoning sinfulness, nor is he indifferent to it. Instead, he is withholding deserved calamities, giving time for people to remember and appreciate, the magnificent manifestation of God.
What is happening with the Filipino people in the Philippines, we have a lot of backfighting and killing for political reason. When I was growing in the Philippines we were so honest that my parents would leave our door open. We know our neighbors and we talk with them about family values. This goes on night after night. However a big change suddenly occur. Education made people self conscious, ambitious in a wrong direction and now we have all natural disaster occuring.
What could be the message from God? Please reply?
Say one "Our Father and Hail Mary" for our own intentions and for the healing intentions of my prayers.
Have a nice day. Deacon Gary
