Psalm 43 From the prayer desk of Rev. Deacon Gary

Today is Tuesday 19th of January 2010.

What can you say about the "extraterestial intelligence"
that influence, into the constructions of the  Pyramids
of Egypt and that of Mexico.

The engineering constructions of the great pyramids remain a mystery and continue to challenge even the
most brilliant mind up to the present.  For me the extraterestial influence is the divine revelations and
inspiration coming from the Father.  What do you think?

If Egypt is the cradle of civilization in the Nile valley, China has older civilization than Egypt in Asia.  Do you
know, that the oldest skeletal remains of man was found in China?

Antiphon
Lord, send forth your light and your truth.
My brothers and sisters in Christ, Good Morning.
To prepare ourselves for today's journey, let's call to mind our sins, and ask God's  forgiveness for he is full
of gentleness and compassion.

Lord have mercy.........Lord have mercy.
Christ have mercy............Christ have mercy.
Lord have mercy.........Lord have mercy.

May the Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive our sins, and lead us to life everlasting, Amen.

Psalm 43
O send forth your light and your truth:
let these be my guide.
Let them bring me to your holy mountain
to the place where you dwell.

Psalm prayer
Almighty Father, source of everlasting light, send forth your truth into our hearts and pour over us the
brightness of your light, Amen.

Remember Almighty Father, those who have died and have gone before us esp, N & N. Bring them all to
your abode with your angels and saints in heaven. Eternal rest grant unto them, and let the perpetual light
shine upon them, Amen.

Lord Jesus, have compassion on all those relatives and friends of ours suffering from known malady, heal
them back to wholeness in body and spirit. Relieve their fears, pains and anxieties. Most venerable Pope
John Paul II, Saint Padre Pio and Our Lady of Barangay
intercede of us, Amen.

Holy Spirit giver of life, power and wisdom, be our guide and guard us from harm, Amen.
Theotokos, pray for us and all those who call on thee. Amen.

Reflections:
Mark 2: 23-28
God created the Sabbath for our benefits, we are restored both physically and spiritually when we take time
to rest and to focus on God.

Say one "Our Father and Hail Mary"  for our own intentions  and the healing intentions of this prayers.

Have a nice day.
Deacon Gary

Psalm 110 From the prayer desk of Rev. Deacon Gary

Today is Sunday 17th of January 2010.

Back home from our travel to Egypt.

This is evening already, I will be short this time.
We have a good time in Egypt. We visited, on our first day, the 3 pyramids, which is very tiresome getting
through its winding corridors. We visited so many temples and actually we passed  those colossal columns
with hieroglyphics writing. Thanks to our guide who explained to us the history of Egypt and those writtings
on the walls and columns in hieroglyphics.

I believe now I could also lecture on Egyptology for my future didactics. We travel from Cairo to Alexandria on
our  second day. We learned  also, that they have now the most modern library in the world.

We went to Aswan, and visited nuemerous temples, syngouge, and coptic church.  There are
so much stories to share, but it is better if you visit Egypt yourself, then we could have exchange of
experiences.
Antiphon
Christ our Lord is a priest forever,
like Melchizedek of old, alleluia.
My brothers and sisters in Christ, Good evening !
All praise and honor to Christ ! He lives forever to intercede for us, and he is able to save those who
approach the Father in his name. sustained by our faith, let us call upon him.
Remember your people, Lord.

Lord have mercy...................Lord have mercy.
Christ have mercy......................Christ ha e mercy.
Lord have mercy...................Lord have mercy.

May the good Lord have mercy on us, forgive our sins, lead us to life everlasting, Amen.

Psalm 110
The Master standing at your right hand
will shatter kings in the day of his great wrath.
He shall drink from the stream by the wayside
and therefore he shall lift up his head.

Psalm prayer
Almighty God, bring the kingdom of Christ, your anointed one, to its fullness. May the perfect offering of your
Son, eternal priest of the new Jerusalem, be offered in every place to your name, and make all nations a holy
people for you. Amen

As the day draws to a close, Sun of Justice, we invoke your name, upon the whole human
race, so that all men may enjoy your never failing light. Remember your people Lord. Amen

Guide all travelers along the path of peace and prosperity, so that they may reach their destinations in safety
and joy, as they reach Petra in Jordan, Amen

Remember also all our dead relatives, friends and all victims of the earthquake in Haiti, that they all be in
your abode with your angels and saint, Amen.

Reflections:
John 2:1-11
"Do whatever he tells you."  This is a profound word from the Blessed Mother. It is a maternal command, "do
whatever he tells you." and Jesus obeyed his mother.  The lesson here is we ask the Blessed mother to
intercede for us for our personal request or petition. Then we wait for her Son to grant our petition or request.

Say one "Our Father and Hail Mary" for our own petition, and for the healing prayers I have for you.

Have a nice evening,
Deacon Gary

Psalm 42 From the prayer desk of Rev. Deacon Gary

Today is Monday, 18th of January 2010.
It is nice to be back home, I will report to
my job this afternoon.

The history of Ancient Egypt goes back to 5000 BC.

Almost everywhere I went, I found some kind of relationship between Ancient Egypt and the history of the Old
Testament.   During these ancient times comparatively Egypt enjoyed a quiet and stable regime, which
provided security for its people.  I just imagine Abraham with his wife Sarah a very attractive lady, was
abducted to the Pharaohs household, where Abraham denied she was his wife but a sister.  Also Joseph
the son of Jacob was sold to slavery to the Egyptian. In Egypt he rose to prominence because he could
interpret the Pharaoh's dream.

The baby Moses was found floating in the river Nile and grew up as a palace prince with Rameses II. Do you
remember the story of the Exodus?

Also, the Holy Family went to Egypt to escape from Herold brutal killing of innocent children.  We visited the
place where the Holy Family stayed in Aswan.

Egypt is a Muslim country, but in Egypt  people are very warm with the Americans, tourist.
We visited one Muslim's home in Cairo, and 12 of us in the group was entertained with a very nice  dinner
together.  We all had exchanges of ideas and of different faith belief.  Four of us were Catholics, some
Protestants, Hebrews and Agnostics.

Antiphon
When will I come to the end of my pilgrimage
and enter the presence of God?
My brothers and sister in Christ, Good Morning !
To prepare ourselves for today's journey, lets call to mind our sins and ask God for forgiveness for he is full
of gentleness and compassion.

Lord have mercy...............Lord have mercy'
Christ have mercy..................Christ have mercy.
Lord have mercy...............Lord have mercy.

May the Almighty God have mercy on us forgive our sins, and lead us to life everlasting, Amen.

Psalm 42
My soul is thirsting for God,
the God of my life;
when can I enter and see
the face of God?

Reflections:  As we visited many temples in Egypt I thought of Psalm 42.

Psalm-prayer
Father in heaven, when your strength takes possession of us we no longer say: Why are you cast down, my
soul/  So now that the surging waves of our indignation have passed over us, let us feel the healing calm of
your forgiveness/  Inspire us to yearn for you always, like the deer for running streams, until you satisfy every
longing in heaven. Amen.

Almighty Father, remember all our relatives and friend who have died and have gone before us, welcome
them to your abode with your angels and saints in heaven. Amen

Lord Jesus, we ask your healing compassion and love, that all our relatives and friends who are suffering
from known ailment will be healed of their malady both body and spirit. Relieve their fears, pains, and
anxieties for we trust your will, Amen.

Holy Spirit giver of life, power and wisdom, be our guide and guard us from harm, Amen
Theotokos, pray for us and all who call to thee. Amen.

Reflections:
Mark 2:18-22
Jesus did not come to patch up the old religious system of Judaism with its rules and traditions. His
purpose was to fulfill it and start something new and even practical.
Did you ever question the purpose of our fasting during lent? It strengthened our faith and
as we seek Christ love, compassion, forgiveness, and joy.

Say one "Our Father and Hail Mary" for our own intentions and healing power of this prayers.

Have a nice day.
Deacon Gary.
It is 4AM and I believe we still have jet log.
