Today is Wednesday 20th of January 2010.
Today, I will have my final assessment for my class in Pastoral Care Education.
For your information: We are going to start to study Prophets of the Old Testament, in the next two weeks time unless there is any objections.
Please read the following 12 Minor Prophets: Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggal, Zechariah and malachi.
All you have to remember is their contributions and predictions, that they had made, that is applicable to our present society.
Antiphon O God, all your ways are holy: what god can compare with our God?
My brothers and sisters in Christ, Good Morning ! To prepare ourselves for today's Journey, lets call to mind our sins and ask God for forgiveness for he is full of gentleness and compassion.
Lord have mercy.............Lord have mercy. Christ have mercy..............Christ have mercy. Lord have mercy.............Lord have mercy.
May the Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive ours sins and lead us to life everlasting, Amen.
Psalm 77 Your ways, O God, are holy. What god is great as our God? You are the God who works wonders. You showed your power among the peoples. Your strong arm redeemed your people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph.
Psalm-prayer Father, you established your ancient covenant by signs and wonders, but more wondrously you confirmed the new one through the sacrifice of your Son. Guide your Church through the pathways of life, that we may be led to the land of promise and celebrate your name with lasting praise, Amen.
Almighty Father, remember those who have died, esp N & N. Bring them to your abode with your angels and saints in heaven. May they find in your presence light, happiness and peace, Amen.
Lord Jesus, have mercy and compassion on all our relatives and friends who are suffering from known malady. Heal them both in their physical problems and spiritual needs. Relieve their fears, pains and anxieties, through the powerful intercession of venerable Pope John Paul II, St. Padre Pio, and Our Ladiy of Barangay, Amen
Holy Spirit giver of life, power and wisdom, be our guide and guard us from harm, Amen. Theotokos, pray for us and all who call on thee, Amen.
Reflections: Mark 3:1-6 "Stand up in front of everyone." Jesus expressed his anger by correcting problem...healing the man's hand. Use your anger to find to find constructive solutions rather than tear people down. In today's society we can do anything for compassion, love and peace.
Say one "Our Father and Hail Mary" for our own intentions and the healing intentions of this prayers.
Have a nice journey, Deacon Gary
