Today is Thursday 21st January 2010.
The intentions of today's Psalm is for those victims and survivors in the recent earthquake in Haiti.
Victims of the earthquake in Haiti are now well secured in the hand of the Lord. For we believe in Christ, who said I am the way, the truth and the life, who ever believe in me will have everlasting life. In his Kingdom they will find his light, happiness and peace.
What is important at this time are the living who are deeply suffering from the lost of their love one's.
Psalm 23:1-6 The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; he lead me beside still waters, he restores my soul. He leads me in right paths for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I fear no evil; for you are with me; your rod and your staff...they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup over flows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord my whole life long.
Reflections and prayers: Dearest Shepherd, walk with the earthquake survivors, walk with the families whose son's or daughter's, husband or wife, relatives and friends perished in the earthquake. In their darkest moment of life, comfort them with your love. Amen.
Lord God, be with the family of those who survive, whom I now commend to your care. Remind us that you will always be our Father and the protector. Give those alive in grief strength in spirit. Bear them up in the days to come, Amen
Antiphon Direct our thoughts, feelings and actions this day, help us to follow your providential guidance. My brothers and sisters in Christ, Good Morning! To prepare ourselves for today's journey, lets call to mind our sins, and ask God forgiveness for he is full of gentleness and compassion.
