Today is Saturday 23rd of January 2010.
When Rumors Distress You. As I said in the Facebook, Google knows everything and even myself and my writings in pinoy global, but so far, nothing scandalous you could find about me. Me, in google is more of a prayers, and some sort of lessons to remember.
If someone else is being hurt, it is your clear duty to do something to stop the rumor's spread. Yes, rumors and gossip are damaging.
We must guard ourselves from cynicism and disillusionment when we become a victim of rumor. There are ways to follow to reduce the damage of rumor. First, be vigilant that you neither begin one nor repeat one. Instead of, we are to come to their defense, speak well of them, and interpret everything they do in the best possible light. This is CHARITY.
Second, come to the defense of anyone who is victimized by gossip. Remember the truth tends to create its own defense, and that the innocent one is often vindicated by history. Truth will out. Say to the gossiper, that's not what I know of the person, he/she is good and probably better than anyone of us around. That will stop the conversation.
Is this the kind of Politics we all would like to hear?
Ephesians 4:29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to there needs, that it may benefit those who listen.
Antiphon Enable us to see your image in all men, and serve you in them. My brothers and sisters, Good Morning ! To prepare ourselves for today's journey, lets call to mine our sins, and ask god for forgiveness for he is full of gentleness and compassion.
Lord have mercy................Lord have mercy. Christ have mercy.................Christ have mercy. Lord have mercy................Lord have mercy.
May the Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive our sins and lead us all to life everlasting, Amen.
Psalm 92 It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to make music to your name, O Most High, to proclaim your love in the morning and your truth in the watches of the night on the ten-stringed lyre and the lute, with the murmuring sound of the harp.
Psalm-prayer Take our shame away from us, Lord, and make us rejoice in your saving works. May all who have been chosen by your Son always abound in works of faith, hope and love in your service. Amen
Almighty Father, remember all those who have died, especially UN staffer Jerome Yap, and Winda Cadag, Lencio Fabro. Bring them to your abode where your presence will be their light, happiness and peace. Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord and let the perpetual light shine upon them, May they all rest in peace, Amen.
Lord Jesus, be merciful and compassionate to all those suffering from known malady. Heal them to wholeness of body and spirit. Relieve their fears, pains and anxieties, Amen.
Holy Spirit giver of life, power and wisdom, be our guide and guard us from harm. Amen Theotokos, pray for us and all those who call on thee. Amen.
Reflections: 2 Samuel 1: 1-4, 17-27 Saul had caused much trouble for David, but when he died, David composed a lament in memory of the king and his son.
David had every reason to hate Saul, but he chose not to instead, he chose to look at the good Saul had done and to ignore the times when Saul attacked him.
It takes courage to lay aside hatred and hurt and to respect the positive side of another person, especially an enemy.
Say one "Our Father and Hail Mary" for our own intentions and the healing intentions of this prayers.
Enjoy and have nice weekends, Deacon Gary
