Today is Monday 25th January 2010.
Please start reading our first prophet Hosea. Hosea served as a prophet to Israel the northern kingdom from 753-715 BC.
Take a look at Hosea chapter 13: 4
What does it say? Please reply by copying the passage.
"On the Subject of Anger." To be human is to know anger. Anger helps us to defend our rights and protect our freedoms...as individuals and as a society. We can learn to transform our anger from a weapon that wounds ourselves and others to a tool that promotes understanding and healthy change in our relationships.
I have a friend who always promise and say yes, yes yes, and at the end you are left unaided. This friend of mine, never fulfill his/her promise and you are put in a waiting period that will never come. Frustrating, what can you do with this individuals. Never take their words and you will be safe and happy, nothing to be angry about.
How are we going to deal with this situations: 1. Lets communicate the feeling of hurt. 2. Lets change the hurtful situation. 3. Lets prevent recurrence of the same hurt. 4. Lets improve the relationship and increase communication. Be honest and say "I am angry...I expected a call... you put me on spot."
Antiphon Grant joy and peace to us, and all we meet this day. My brothers and sisters in Christ, Good Morning ! To prepare ourselves for today journey, lets call to mind our sins and ask God for forgiveness for he is full of gentleness and compassion.
Lord have mercy..............Lord have mercy. Christ have mercy................Christ have mercy. Lord have mercy..............Lord have mercy.
May the Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive our sins and lead us to life everlasting, Amen.
Psalm 84 My soul is longing and yearning, is yearning for the courts of the Lord. My heart and my soul ring out their joy to God, the living God.
Psalm prayer Bless your people, Lord. You have given us the law that we may walk from strength to strength and raise our minds to you from this valley of tears. May we receive the gifts you have gained for us.
Almighty Father remember those who have died especially N & N. Bring them all to your abode with your angels and saints in heaven. Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord, and let the perpetual light shine upon them. Amen
Lord Jesus, have mercy and compassion on our relatives and friends suffering from known malady. Bring them back to health both physical and spiritual. Relieve their fears, pains and anxieties. Amen
Holy Spirit giver of life, power and wisdom, be our guide and guard us from harm, physical or spiritual harm. Amen
Theotokos, pray for us and all those who call your name. Amen.
Reflections: Acts 22:3-16 Gameliel was the most honored rabbi of the first century. The conversion of St. Paul was similar in a way I was called to be a permanent deacon. I was called on our way to Assisi 2002. "St. Padre Pio and St. Francis" said "Gary we have been waiting for you, you received so much graces and you have not responded."
Then Msgr. Oscar Aquino interpreted this message that I am being called to be a Deacon. The road I traveled was not easy (Full time work and full time student.) Thanks for Msgr Aquino for being so confident, "I will endure and persevere."
Say one "Our Father and Hail Mary" for our own intentions and the healing intentions of this prayers.
Enjoy your journey. Deacon Gary
