Today is Sunday 31st January 2010.
We celebrated Mom's Birthday at Da Noi Restaurant last Friday and all of us forgot to bring a camera.
Yesterday, Harry, Van and Amy came to visit us and greeted grandma Happy Birthday.
I believe it would be nice if I will share with you what I learned from the conference last Thursday and Friday.
On Theology of Environment, or what is known as "The Ecological Gospel." I believe the pollution in which we are living into, is the result of industrialization. For the majority of Americans we simply want a clean and attractive environment. I would like to see some religious crusade to be active in our government policies to clean the air, improve drinking water, reduce cancer, and achieve other important goals such as in the area of "global warming". What we have done, is polluting, what God has created in the first place, clean and beautiful earth for us to enjoy the natural. We are paying for the result of (the insults on earth) by our over expanding technology and we also forgetting to respect the Divine creator, in all walks of life, esp in public school system. God is being replace by "the expanding apple tech," on both physical, emotional and even spiritual domain. egv 2010. Please reply with your idea.
Antiphon The Lord sent me to bring glad tidings to the poor, to proclaim liberty to captives. My brothers and sisters in Christ, Good Morning ! To prepare ourselves for today's journey, lets call to mind our sins and ask God for forgiveness for he is full of gentleness and compassion.
Lord have mercy..............Lord have mercy. Christ have mercy..................Christ have mercy. Lord have mercy..............Lord have mercy.
May the good Lord, have mercy on us, forgive our sins, and lead us to life everlasting, Amen.
Psalm 118 The stone which the builders rejected has become the corner stone. This is the work of the Lord, a marvel in our eyes. This day was made by the Lord; we rejoice and are glad.
Psalm prayer. Lord God, you have given us the great day of rejoicing: Jesus Christ, the stone rejected by the builders, has become the cornerstone of the Church, our spiritual home. Shed upon your Church the rays of your glory, that it may be seen as the gate of salvation open to all nations. Let cries of joy and exultation ring out from its tents, to celebrate the wonder of Christ's resurrection. Amen
Almighty Father, remember our relatives and friends who have died, bring them to your abode with your angels and saints in heaven. May your bring with your presence, light, happiness and peace. Amen
Lord Jesus, have mercy on all those relatives and friends of ours who are suffering from known malady. Heal them to both physical and spiritual wholeness and relieve their fears, anger, pains, doubts and anxieties that usually affects also their immediate family, Amen
Holy Spirit giver of life, power and wisdom, be our guide and guard us from harm. Amen Theotokos, pray for us and all those who call on thee. Amen.
Reflections: Jeremiah 1:4-5, 17-19 The problems we face may not seem as ominous as Jeremiah's, but they are critical to us and may overwhelm us. God's promise to Jeremiah and to us is that nothing will defeat us completely, he will help us through the most agonizing problems. Face each day with the assurance that God will be with you and see you through.
Say one "Our Father and Hail Mary" for our own intentions and the healing intentions of this prayers.
Continue to have a good weekend. Deacon Gary
