Today is Monday, 1st of February 2010.
Theology of Desire. I am happy to get so much feedback in my "Theology of Ethical Economy." It was very stimulating and eye opener to what is going on in the Philippines.
Today I will further elucidate on "Theology of Desire." at a different perspective.
I thought "DESIRE" is a positive feeling that would lead to progress. It is the desire of men, that we search to improve ourselves, our society that includes our family and the whole nations.
That "DESIRE" lead us towards education, to gain the wisdom, knowledge and understanding about what God give us, and we have to share them to others.
We are all created with that positive "DESIRE," which is in the core of our intellect. That intellect in which we are created to the image and likeness of God. (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) seek to know them, follow them, and serve them by serving humanity at its best through education and higher learning. The wealth we have is the wealth of wisdom that we need to share to others.
The other "DESIRE" which is spiritual...is, to follow Christ, the light of the world. That in itself is a calling... that the apostles received, including St. Paul and other saints. How will you reflect on this? Please reply.
Antiphon You call us today to your service, make us stewards of your many gifts, these we DESIRE from you. My brothers and sisters in Christ, Good Morning ! To prepare ourselves for today's journey lets call to mind our sins and ask God for forgiveness for he is full of gentleness and compassion.
Lord have mercy..............Lord have mercy. Christ have mercy.................Christ have mercy. Lord have mercy..............Lord have mercy.
May the good Lord have mercy on us, forgive our sins, and lead us to life everlasting, Amen.
Psalm 90 In the morning, fill us with your love; we shall exult and rejoice all our days. Give us joy to balance our affliction for the years when we knew misfortune.
Psalm prayer Eternal Father, you give us life despite our guilt and even add days and years to our lives in order to bring us wisdom. Make us love and obey you, so that the works of our hands may always display what your hands have done, until the day we gaze upon the beauty of your face.
Almighty Father, remember our relatives and friends esp N & N who have died. Bring them in your presence, light, happiness and peace. Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord and let the perpetual light shine upon them, Amen.
Lord Jesus, have mercy and have compassion on all our relatives and friends who are suffering from known malady. Heal them both physical and spiritual wholeness. Relieve their fears, pains, and anxieties including their families, Amen.
Holy Spirit giver of life, power and wisdom, be our guide and guard us from harm. Amen. Theotokos, pray for us and all who call on thee. Amen.
Reflections 2 Samuel 16:5-15 Maintaining your composure in the face of unjustified criticism can be a trying experience and an emotionally draining, but if you can't stop criticism, it is best just to ignore it. Remember that God knows what you are enduring and he will vindicate you if you are in the right.
Say one "Our Father and Hail Mary" for our own intentions and the healing intentions of this prayers
Enjoy the rest of the day, Deacon Gary
