Theology of Marketplace
Entrepreneurship can be a vocation and
business people have a special role to
play in the economy of salvation.
Pope John Paul II, in 1991 wrote in
Centesimus Annus "Entrepreneurship is
not only an economic necessity but also of
a moral value in the dynamic process of
modern economy.
Reflections:
When I was growing up in Lipa City and Manila, our religion teachers is very much against
entrepreneurship. To them they are evil, and does not have the heart for the poor. And I also remember my
mother would tell us, if we don't have the business, you will not have this house, and you cannot go to
college which was our ambitions to all of you.
We are 5 siblings and I am the youngest and the only boy. I remember most Sundays after the mass, my
mom, would give 5 of us, some produced from our farming land in San Juan Batangas. Of all of us five... I
sold the fastest. The reason was, I let the buyer get a little more of what they pay. I for one, knew that my
mother did not count the type fruits, and the quantity in every baskets and it is up to us to give the price. I give
higher price than my sisters, and when buyer's bargain I give in.
At the end of the day when we give our money to our mother, she would tell us, "This is not
what I like you to do." All of you must study, and go to college." All of us did go to college and we are all
successful in our career.

My brothers and sisters in Christ, Good Morning !
To prepare ourselves for today's journey, lets call to mind our sins, and ask God for forgiveness for he is full
of gentleness and compassion.

May the Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive our sins and lead us to life everlasting, Amen.

It is better to take refuge in the Lord
than trust in men:
it is better to take refuge in the Lord
than to trust in princes.
Psalm prayer
Let us not grow weary of doing good; if we do not relax our efforts, in due time we shall reap our harvest.
While we have the opportunity, let us do good to all men...but especially those of the household of the faith.
Amen
Almighty Father, remember all our relatives and friends who died especially N & N. Bring them all in your
abode, with your angels and saints in heaven. May your presence bring them your light, happiness and
peace, Amen.
Lord Jesus, have mercy and compassion to all those suffering from known malady esp Rodolfo Clemente,
Lucy Waters, Becky Gonzalez, Alice Salud, Sonia Lee, Rob Amoroso, Baby Lucas, and Estelle Levinson.
Heal them back to physical and spiritual wholeness. Relieve them their fears, pains and anxieties, Amen.
Holy Spirit giver of life, power and wisdom, be our guide and guard us from harm. Amen.
Theotokos, pray for us and all those who call on thee, Amen

Isaiah;s lofty view of God gives us a sense of God's greatness, mystery and power.
"Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty;
the whole earth is full of his glory."
Say one "Our Father and Hail Mary" for our own intentions, and the healing intentions of this prayers.
