Theology of Love

This is appropriate, for today's Saint Valentine's Day and I wish all of you "the Love coming from God," and transform your heart in loving others.
This remind me of a movie "Love is a many Splendor Thing." True love has its physical, psychological and spiritual component.
Reflections: There are four different words to describe LOVE in Greek language. Romantic love.............called Eros (passionate) Friendship love..,.........called Philia (brotherly love) Affectionate love.........called Storge (mutual feeling) Spiritual love ..............called Agape (motherly love)
The universal meaning of love is called EROS, the sexual desire for pleasure and procreation. The theological meaning of love is called AGAPE (non-sexual) which is selfless and spiritual.
Agape can be describe as self-giving love with which God loves us and wants to teach us how to do as well. John 14:15,23 Those who love (agape) Jesus will do what Jesus taught.
Philia also know as brotherly love, which could be an intense or abnormal attraction to a person or things. Just remember Philadelphia a city of brotherly love.
Affection is a tender emotional mutual feeling of love.
At this point "love and affection" has an inseparable connotations. It is intense feeling of love and caring.
I remember when I was courting my girl friend now my wife, by coincidence we mailed our cards at the same time on the same date. I signed my card. "With Love and Affection." while she signed her "Affectionately." So I told her when we compared the valentine card. The combination of the language is perfect combination, and I proposed marriage.
