CALIFORNIA, United States— The first book on hypnotherapy by Filipino is off the press and now available at Amazon.com, Barnes and Nobles bookstores and other selected bookstores.
The book, an introductory manual to hypnotherapy, explains the basis of therapeutic applications of hypnosis, and explores the best-known hypnotic induction methods and techniques of hypnotherapy.
It is the first and only handbook on hypnotherapy authored by Filipinos.
The manual, laden with illustrations, reveals the 'secret' of hypnosis by presenting specific, practical applications for therapy. The handbook presents hypnosis as an alternative therapeutic modality based on accepted and proven procedures.
The methods and techniques introduced in the book are in a how-to format to easily understand the conditions underlying the science of hypnosis as a foundation for applied hypnotherapy.
Hypnotherapy is the clinical application of the basic elements of hypnosis in alleviating many physical and psychological maladies in a wide range of areas, including general medicine, dentistry, clinical psychology, education, and sports.
The book presents fundamental overviews about the psychophysiological dynamics of the subject (patient), disease (pathology), healing modality (therapeutic technique), and the milieu (setting).
When one has difficulty deciding where and how to start learning about hypnotherapy or hypnosis in general, this handbook can help.
The book is entitled “Secrets of Practical Hypnosis (An Introductory Manual to Hypnotherapy, Illustrated)” authored by Dr. Aggie Carson-Arenas and co-authored by Allen-Chriss Williamson Arenas. Please see Amazon.com for detail or visit your local bookstore. Dr. Arenas also authored “Introduction to Psychology (Understanding Human Behavior),” a textbook used in Philippine universities.
