Reflective dialogues set in Caraga region

MANILA, March 10 – The next round of “Dialogue Mindanaw” is set on Thursday in Butuan City to get the
pulse of the people in northeastern Mindanao or the Caraga region on the peace process between the
government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).

Similar reflective dialogues were conducted in Iligan City, Cagayan deo Oro City, Zamboanga City, Korondal
City, Cotabato City, Puerto Princesa City, Bacolod City, San Mateo in Rizal and Baguio City.

The Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP) under Secretary Annabelle T. Abaya is
spearheading the multi-sectoral consultations dubbed as “Dialogue Mindanaw.”

Results of these reflective dialogues will be submitted to the peace panels of both the government and MILF
holding peace negotiations.

Participants are one in pushing for the peaceful resolution to the armed conflict in Mindanao.
