NO SPINNERS NECESSARY - JUST STRAIGHT NEWS

I have warned the email group members before about the way Billy Esposo and Solita Monsod, and all those who have cut-and-pasted their columns, have chosen to perform in the present Philippine presidential campaign.
Perry Diaz has even attempted to bait me about expressing my own opinion about their new black propaganda against Manny Villar's ad about the death of his brother. Perry obviously swallowed hook-line- and-sinker Mr. Esposo and Ms. Monsod's evil reports, creating suspicions that he could be one of the usually paid outfielder (Perry's term not mine) of Nonoy Aquino's spinners in the Philippine media.
Well, ladies and gentlemen, they can eat all their hearts out. Let us cut the chase - This issue needs no spinners - just straight news, straight from the candidate himself. I have reprinted the Philippines Daily Inquirer's report below. So take it or leave it, you have a choice.
New Developments
This is one campaign that parallels its 1986 equivalent in its cannibalism and maliciousness in terms of lies. Blood is really thicker than, this time, truth. It is not a coincidence that the same family has run the two campaigns, then for Cory now for Noynoy. Like mother, like son. What a legacy!
The only difference is that Cory blackened Marcos, the incumbent, while Noynoy promised to blacken Gloria Arroyo, the incumbent, but ended however smearing black and blue his closest rival Villar, who is not even the candidate of Gloria's Lakas-Kampi coalition.
Recent polls have shown that the black propaganda levelled against Manny Villar have made its mark not in February but March.
Amateurs in Philippine politics could interpret as a severe blow and a signal for yellow celebrations. But that is utterly premature, pinoy way. So let us balance black and whites here before we are again overtaken by evil reporters who are employing trending tactics.
First, Nonoy only registered a one-point increase from his February mark (SWS from 36 to 37). It cannot yet be granted that he has arrested his freefall (from 60 in October and from 46 in December) because this is within the 2% margin of error.
The polls also show 47% of those surveyed can still change their mind (MSTD). With the campaign going less on propaganda and more on local maneuvers. it is now between capability of parties more than candidates.
Surprises are still very much possible. In this realm, what is ominous is that Gibo Teodoro who is a poor fourth in the polls, have 65% of the governors backing him up.
What is curious is that even outgoing Speaker Boy Nograles who is running for mayor of Davao City against Digong Duterte's daughter Inday Sara, is complaining of Comelec's inaction against five (5) million ghost registrants. He is bellyaching because, guess by how much I predict him to lose? Not less than 40,000 votes which is my network's estimate of flying voters in Davao City , mostly voting in its third district. This is the reason why nobody beats Duterte in his own turf since time immemorial.
Revisiting Clueless Noynoy after a Round of Corruption
For the meantime, we have Noynoy who his campaign gurus paint as spotless and yet 24 year ago, established Best Security Agency Inc. using the official residence of the President and her family in Arlegui (which part of the Malacanang complex) as the corporation's adress.
By Nonoy's own admission, then the agency had close to 1,000 security guards, but now has only about 300. What could have made the difference?
During her mother’s incumbency as president of the Philippines, BSA Inc. secured government contracts with the likes of the Philippine National Construction Corp. and the facilities and buildings of sequestered companies under the Presidential Commission on Good Government. It’s other big clients were Lucio Tan and the family that owns Uniwide that acquired a reputation for smuggling chicken quarters from China .
Of course both Perry who feigns moral ascendancy and Liberal Party’s otherwise icon of honesty and integrity Noynoy Aquino, cannot see any wrongdoing by BSA Inc.
If so why is this vital item not included in Noynoy’s biodata to bolster his executive ability?
What about you dear reader, wouldn’t you agree that by this discovery, Noynoy is also corrupt? How many guards do you think this security agency will have if Noynoy becomes president?
Take it or leave it, as Perry says this is a free country!
Now this:
My brother died poor - Villar
By Maila Ager INQUIRER.net First Posted 18:39:00 03/29/2010
MANILA, Philippines – Nacionalista Party standard-bearer Senator Manny Villar lashed back at critics for allegedly distorting facts surrounding the death of his younger brother, Danny, to taint his reputation and discredit his campaign.
Villar was particularly peeved by what he described as “lies” that they were able to afford hospitalization for his cancer-stricken brother.
While acknowledging that his brother was rushed to the FEU Hospital , Villar said Danny was admitted as charity patient.
“During an emergency case, you go to the nearest hospital and bother later where to get the money to pay the bill,” he said in an interview in Naga City Sunday night.
Villar said his brother died because his family could not afford the cost of his treatment.
He scored at critics for insinuating that they had money when his family hired the services of Funeraria Paz for the burial of his brother.
The senator also decried insinuations that they were from the middle class and not from the lower class.
“Some groups have the gall of spinning tales that I did not come from the poor. I’ll never get tired of saying we were once squatters. My siblings and I were born in Sta. Maria Street in Tondo. The nine of us slept together on a single mat and mosquito net,” he pointed out.
The senator lamented that even the family’s property in San Rafael Village , Navotas was not spared from his detractors’ nitpicking.
“Sa sobrang sikip namin, nangutang ang tatay ko, nagpatayo ng bahay. Pinapalabas ngayon na kami’y hindi mahirap. Hindi naman tama yon (Because we were too cramped, my father was forced to borrow money and build our own home. Now they’re saying we are not poor, that’s not right),” he said.
Villar said his father obtained a loan from the Government Service Insurance System to buy the house that was to be paid in 20 to 25 years.
He also denied claims that his mother was a fish dealer and not a mere vendor.
“We’re not in wholesaling. We were ordinary vendors selling shrimps in public markets, which I’ve been saying for so many times,” he said.
Villar noted that the heightened attacks against him were made after he gained support from a number of local politicians.
This clearly showed, he said that his foes were panicking and would do whatever it takes to undermine his presidential bid.
