Don't dismiss conflicting ideas.
Try to find out,
what we can do about it.
Prophet Nahum 1:1-15
The Lord is a jealous and avenging God,
the Lord takes vengeance and is filled with wrath.
The Lord takes vengeance on his foes
and maintains his wrath against his enemies.
The Lord is slow to anger and great in power;
the Lord will not leave the guilty unpunished.
His way is in the whirlwind and the storm,
and clouds are the dust of his feet.
Reflections
When humans are jealous and take vengeance, they are usually acting in a spirit of selfishness. Here God
is insisting for our complete allegiance, otherwise he will punish those unrepentant evildoer. He (God) is
slow to get angry and when he is angry the earth trembles (earthquakes) and even flooding.
If you are impressed by or afraid of any weapons, armies, or powerful people, remember that God alone can
truly rescue us from fear or oppression.
The lesson is, we must place our confidence in God because he alone rules all of history, all the earth, and
our life.

My brothers and sisters in Christ, Good Morning !
To prepare ourselves for our journey today Sunday, lets call to mind our sins and ask God for forgiveness,
for he is full of gentleness and compassion.

Lord have mercy............. Lord have mercy.
May the good Lord, have mercy on us, forgive our sins, and lead us to life everlasting, Amen.

Greater than the roar of mighty waters,
more glorious than the surging of the sea,
the Lord is glorious on high.
Truly your decrees are to be trusted.
Holiness is fitting to your house,
O Lord, until the end of time.
Psalm prayer
All powerful and all authority in heaven and on earth have been given to you, Lord Jesus; you rule with
decrees that are firm and trustworthy. Be with us always so that we may make disciples whose holiness will
be worthy of your house. Amen
Almighty Father, remember all our relatives and friends who have died. Bring them all to your kingdom, and
show your presence of light, happiness and peace, Amen
Lord Jesus, bring all our relatives and friends who are presently suffering from known ailments, Bring
healing to their physical and spiritual wholeness. These we pray for Sister Rosario V, Nonoy M, Rudy C, T
Sabas, that they will find healing love from you Lord, Relieve them from fears, pains, and anxieties, Amen
Holy Spirit giver of life, power and wisdom, be our guide and guard us from harm, Amen.
OL Barangay, pray for us and all those who call on thee, Amen.
Reflections:
John 17:20-26
My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of
them may be one, Father just as you are in me and I am in you."
Jesus prayed for all who would follow him, including you and others you know. He prayed for unity,
protection from the evil one, and sanctify.
Knowing that Jesus prayed for us should give us confidence as we work for his kingdom.
Say one "Our Father and Hail Mary" for our own intentions and the healing intentions of this prayers.
